Business may be large or medium sized they use Public Switched Telephone Network for their telephone needs which is basically a circuit switched network. This system helps the telephone call to take control of the telephone line for the entire duration of the call. PSTN is a heavily regulated network so taxes are charged on every telephone call. Large business is considered to be one that has more than 200 employees. At present large companies do not use VoIP as they have already paid large amount of money for their PBX and have wrong notions that they would need to throw away their PBX in order to move to VoIP. One possible VoIP solution for a larger sized business that already has a PBX. VoIP converts the circuit switched outputs from the PBX into IP packets and then passes them to a Voice Enabled Router that also handles the company data network. The company may then remove the expensive phone lines or the Primary Rate Interface that previously were sent to the PSTN. Large businesses save upto 30% in their monthly telephony costs after switching to a VoIP configuration. Related Links: Mobile
