Internet Security

The mechanism that helps secure internet must concentrate on the following points.

Authentication

Authentication means the checking the identity of valid clients and servers.

Authorization means only legal client receives and sends information legal servers.

Authentication and authorization will make the information system integrated.

Availability means only the intended user receives. This is done by providing access control.

Internet has designed two mechanisms to take care of the above points:

Public key encryption system which provides authentication and integrity in the information systems.
Internet Fire Wall which handles the problem of screening a particular network or an organization from unwanted communication.
