Java was created by Sun Microsystems in 1995. This programming language is modeled on the C++ format that is its an object oriented programming language with much more efficient features and the ease of platform independency.

There exists a JVM – Java Virtual Machine which is responsible for the feature java has in it of platform independence. Java programs can be called on from stand alone applications or applets. Applets are small programs. Java compiler is the fastest one in its category.
