Multimedia presentations refer to computer-aided graphics that use color or sound to involve an audience. It also includes charts, videos and animations. A presentation involving audio and video clips would be considered a multimedia presentation. They can be used both as presentation tools for teachers in the act of teaching, and also as aids for students to work with independently. Multimedia uses multiple forms of information content and information processing such as text, audio, graphics, animation, and video, interactivity. It also involves the combination of two or more media into a single presentation. Multimedia presentations are possible in many contexts, including the Web, CD-ROMs, and live theater. Multimedia presentations seem to solve all the problems. A multimedia presentation can help tremendously, but it will not do much if it is part of a poorly designed or badly written presentation. Multimedia presentations can be used in education. |
