Real-Time Processing

In real-time processing system data processing rate must be higher than the incoming data speed. Real-time processing is one of the important application of the computers where in computer is employed to control the operations of a physical system. For example : computerized weather monitoring system which is expected to issue storm, heavy rain and lightening warnings well in advance is a Real time Processing System. In such applications the processing of data taken place in real time or actual time.

The real-time processing also include monitoring of satellite movement in the space. Messages and photographs sent by satellite have to be processed right in time to interpret and to take decisions. Similarly timely instructions and commands have to be issued to the satellite in operation.

Real-time data processing system have to accept the real-time challenges of the physical applications. Where the events occurring in that physical system have to be controlled and processed right in time for the benefit and welfare of that organization.
