Connecting MotherboardConnecting a mother board could be a tedious and cumbersome job as it is quite fragile to handle. This part of the system should be handled in a very gently manner. The motherboard usually comes in two different categories that are AT and the ATX. The AT cabinet is the one which has to be manually switched off. The ATX is the motherboard that is switched off automatically by the operating system itself. Since this part is a fragile one, there is the need to handle it carefully. The motherboard should be fixed to the cabinet case. The power supply should be checked. Once the SMPS-Switch Mode Power Supply is connected then the processor needs to be fixed over the board. The next step is to fix the fan over the processor so that it can absorb the heat produced by the processor and keep it cool. Then the next step is to figure out the connections and the pins that are in the motherboard and make the appropriate connections in to them. Next is the connection of LED’s and the connections to the turbo and power switch. Next comes, the connections of the hard drive and the CD drives through IDE along with the floppy drives, the fixing of RAM in there respective slots. Then connect the PC speaker. And now double check all the cables and connections. |
